FLRF donates GBP 9.12 million to endow a permanent breastfeeding research center at the University of Oxford.
Called the Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation Oxford Centre for the Endocrinology of Human Lactation (LRF OCEHL), it is the first research center in the United Kingdom to investigate hormones involved in the production of breastmilk.
Its aim? To solve hormone-related breastfeeding challenges and improve the health of mothers and children globally.

LRF OCEHL is led by Professor Fadil Hannan. The center and its distinguished team are embedded in the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health, John Radcliffe Hospital, University of Oxford.
FLRF and the University of Oxford laid the foundation for a permanent research center in 2018, when FLRF made an initial grant of GBP 2.9 million. LRF OCEHL will now receive the endowment over the coming years, enabling it to be self-funded and independent in perpetuity – key ingredients for conducting high-quality research over long horizons.
