LactaMedia, part of LactaHub, continues to grow

This freely accessible collection of educational breastfeeding photos and videos is a valuable resource for health professionals creating training materials or supporting mothers with breastfeeding challenges.

LactaHub has partnered with Dr. Faith Nawagi, Nurse and Midwife, Makerere University College of Health Science, Uganda, to build a collection of clinical images that reflect diverse communities.

β€œThe photos have a unique component of exhibiting breastfeeding health and practices in the African setting. We acknowledge the contributions of all the mothers and their babies and children who participated in the digital collection, as well as the nurses, midwives, obstetrics, and gynecology specialists,” says Dr. Nawagi.

LactaHub is grateful to Kawempe Specialized National Referral Hospital Uganda, and the Mulago National Referral Hospital Pediatric Department that hosted this project. Ethical clearances were obtained from the Mulago Hospital Research and Ethics Committee Institutional Review Board and the Uganda National Council of Science and Technology (UNCST).
