Swiss Ambassador and FLRF celebrate AMIU students

What an incredible honor!

Ambassador of Switzerland to Kenya, His Excellency Mr. Mirko Giulietti, was the distinguished guest of note at an awards ceremony at Amref International University (AMIU) yesterday, celebrating students for their achievements in the ‘From Idea to Impact – Building a Public Health (Social) Enterprise’ learning program. 

Students and early-stage health entrepreneurs successfully completed the year-long training, which culminated in a business plan competition. The top 3 business plans won seed money (USD 1,000 to USD 3,000) to launch their healthcare ventures. 

Heartfelt congratulations to the students and business plan competition winners – we wish you the very best of luck! 

“The students’ commitment to advancing public health through entrepreneurship has been especially inspiring,” said Dr. Katharina Lichtner, FLRF Managing Director and program facilitator. “We look forward to following their progress.”

The ‘Idea to Impact’ program is a collaborative initiative from AMIU, Amref Health Africa, and the Family Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation. The next of 2 further learning cycles is already underway. Stay tuned for news from the next cohort...
